As a years-long yoga practitioner, I have not been convinced to Pilates, even though various doctors have indicated it for me as a perhaps better alternative. With the pandemics, I started online Pilates classes with Monika and I loved them! I will continue beyond the pandemics and likely never go back to yoga again. Life changing experience. I used to be slim and relatively fit but due to life events I put on weight (a lot) so I stopped any form of physical activity. On the top of it I twisted my knee and couldn’t walk without pain. I tried physio (no improvement), restorative yoga (got even more demotivated as I wasn't able to do the gentlest of asanas) and then someone introduced me to the Calma method and its creator. Monika has transformed my life and body. I started with 4 online classes a week via Zoom and I still do 3 private lessons just to keep myself motivated and make sure that I build on the progress I've already made. The practice is tailored to my physical abilities at the time and considers how I feel on the day. To start with, I've learned to breathe; and now the pains and aches are gone, I've built muscles, my stomach starts to have a definition and my pelvic floor plays a very important part in my everyday life :). I want to continue to lose weight and go back to other sports but I will never abandon Calma method until my dying day. The Calma method will change your life. If you are slim it will help you sculpt your body into the perfect version of you. If you are overweight and hate the way you look and feel but can't force yourself to exercise - it will give you back the drive to make the necessary changes.


I met Monika during the COVID lockdown and took online classes with her 3 times a week, over a 3-months period. Monika's classes really made a difference during this strange period! They helped me keep a well balanced body and mind. After 3 months, I felt a real difference in my body and overall wellbeing – my body was strengthened and energised as it had not been for a long time. Monika is an excellent teacher, very skilled and dedicated. Although online, she pays attention to every single detail and makes sure you have the best posture to work with. We had to stop our classes during the summer break but I look forward to continuing our lessons! I am very grateful for what she taught me so far!

I met Monika when I was pregnant with my first child. She was recommended to me as an excellent pilates teacher, who took special care with pregnant students, helping them to understand all the physiological and emotional changes during pregnancy. We worked for the body to gain space with the baby's growth. In addition to gaining more body awareness, I started to accept each change and prepare myself better for the time of delivery. Monika herself had recently become a mother and had a very positive experience of a natural childbirth, which has always been my wish too. My belly got back to normal in one month and I remember to have gained a lot of strength in my arms, which was useful when breastfeeding.
